2020 Emergency Community Support Fund Grant recipient. The lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the closure of our four café/snackbar locations and resulted in the layoff of 19 employees.
During this time, we pondered how things would look and when we could open up again. Seeing the required safety measures mandated by Public Health for retail businesses we knew that these costs were going to be prohibitive to our newly established social enterprise.
We were extremely grateful to have received a donation from the ECSF which afforded us the ability to implement the required safety measures of signage, sanitizing stations, floor decals, plexi glass and PPE for staff when we reopen.
We were ecstatic to have participated in a few Town of Orangeville public events providing concession foods at the outdoor drive-in movies and the recent concert series at Rotary Park.
With schools opening shortly, we are eager to get back to work in the arenas knowing we can do so safely thanks to the ECSF donation.
