The Dufferin Emergency Support Fund was created to provide extra support during emergency periods. In 2021, we issued grants to address the many challenges created by COVID-19 and the restrictions to combat it.
This year, thanks to the generosity of Enbridge Gas and donors from the community, we will be granting $13,000 to support mental health and shelter/housing programs and services.
If you are a registered charity serving Dufferin County with programs in either of these areas, we urge you to apply. The minimum grant amount is $3,000 with no barrier to future grant applications for the same program.
Applications are open to registered charities and qualified donees. Successful applicants will demonstrate that a newly planned or modified existing program will address mental health and/or shelter (housing) issues affecting Dufferin residents.
The application consists of two parts:
• PART 1: About your Organization (deadline May 12)
• PART 2: Program Information & Budget (deadline May 20)
Part 1 will determine your eligibility for a DESF Grant. Once you submit Part 1, you will be contacted about Part 2.
Download the Part 1 Application Form, fill it out and return it to michele@dufferinfoundation.ca by May 12, 2022.
