Local grants for charities serving Dufferin County

One of the best things about a community foundation is that every year, annual income from our endowment funds is invested back into the community through our charitable grants.

Dufferin Community Foundation has been awarding grants since its first year of operation. Some of the grants were sponsored by local business people, some were part of a local and federal COVID-19 response, and beginning last year… we gave out our first grant from a family fund.

We are pleased that in our fourth year, with more than $1.25 million invested in permanent funds, we will be allocating more than $35,000 in 2022 and $50,000 in 2023. Grants will only continue to grow, hand-in-hand with the growth of our endowment funds.

As a member of the Community Foundations of Canada, we are uniquely able to participate in national programs, such as the Federal Government Emergency Community Support Fund in 2020 and the RBC Future Launch Community Challenge in 2021.
