Join us in making a lasting impact on Dufferin County

Applications are open for Board Directors and Committee Members.

Dufferin Community Foundation is a young and fast-growing organization that is already making a significant difference in Dufferin County. We are currently seeking community-minded volunteers who are passionate about Dufferin County to join our Board of Directors or one of our Committees (Fund Development, Finance & Administration, Governance, and Grants) for a term that begins in June.

You may be keen to show leadership, provide mentorship, give back to the community, or build your resume. Whatever your reason, the experience is inherently rewarding, and you’ll work with dedicated professionals committed to a dynamic and inclusive legacy for Dufferin County.

We welcome all interested candidates. The Board of Directors is particularly interested in recruiting community members who live in Shelburne, Grand Valley, Amaranth, Melancthon or East Garafraxa and/or have expertise in business development, sales cycle, marketing and financial management.

About the Foundation…

Who we are

Dufferin Community Foundation is the forever fund for Dufferin County. Established in 2018, we are part of a growing network of more than 200 community foundations across Canada.

What we do

We invest donor gifts into permanent (endowed) funds and use the income earned to give grants to charities every year… forever!

Who we serve

We are 100% local. All our grant monies go to charities and other “qualified donees” that serve residents of Dufferin County.

What makes us unique?

While most charities raise funds for immediate use, our donations are invested. We are continuously building an ever-growing and sustainable nest egg to fund local programs every year.

Our goal

To raise $10 million in investments in our first 10 years, which will result in more than $450,000 for our local charities every year – a game-changing amount of funding.
