An Evening Under the Stars will take place at the home of our hosts, Joan and Paul Waechter, in north Mono. We are grateful for their generous hospitality!
It’s hard to believe that it’s less than a week until An Evening Under the Stars Thursday, June 22, 2023. The time has flown by at the speed of… well, a shooting star. Our hosts and volunteers have been busy behind the scenes, looking after every detail to create a spectacular night of community.
It all starts at 5:30pm. Here are more details about our evening together.
What to Wear
This is a gala where you can be comfortable. Dress is “country elegant” or “outdoor summer party.”
Women may want to wear a summer dress or slacks and a nice top. Men could come in nice pants and a shirt. Bring a sweater or wrap or jacket in case the evening gets chilly.
The only rule is no heels!

A Feast Fit for a Star
Lavender Blue has created a mouth-watering menu for the evening. It will begin with a selection of hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, and continue with a delicious dinner buffet.
The bountiful selection of dishes should accommodate most dietary restrictions. A vegan option is also available upon request. Contact Executive Director Michele Fisher at michele@dufferinfoundation.ca with any questions.
