Dufferin Community Foundation is actively seeking community leaders to serve on the Board of Directors beginning this June. If you are collaborative, inclusive, team-focused and care about improving quality of life in Dufferin County over the long term, please apply.
Our ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in one or more of the following:
- Business management
- Financial management/investments
- Board governance
- Fund development
The Commitment
Board meetings: on the third Tuesday of each month (except July), approx. 2 hrs
Board prep: review monthly Board package of materials, approx. 1-2 hrs
Committee work: participate on at least one committee (Outreach, Grants, Finance, Governance). Meetings range from monthly to 4-6 times/year depending on the committee.

The Mission
Dufferin Community Foundation is the “forever fund” for Dufferin County. We invest donations into permanent charitable funds that generate an annual income. After a thorough process of research and review, we disburse grants to local charities and other qualified groups, every year… forever.
The 10-year Goal
Our Board is working to achieve a goal of $10 million in invested funds in our first 10 years of operation (2018-2028), which will make us a leading source of reliable funding for local charities across Dufferin.
