It was an exceptional evening celebrating with exceptional people at the Dufferin Board of Trade’s 2026 Business Excellence Awards (BEA) Gala on May 21, 2026.

The Dufferin Community Foundation was truly honoured to receive its first-ever nomination for Nonprofit of the Year at this year’s event. Michele Fisher, Executive Director, and Roy Bryan, Fund Development Committee Member, joined fellow community leaders, businesses, and organizations at the Best Western in Orangeville.

Hosted annually by the Dufferin Board of Trade, the BEAs are a hallmark of excellence in our community. “It’s a wonderful celebration of the incredible businesses, organizations, and leaders that help make Dufferin County such a vibrant and resilient community,” said Diana Morris, Executive Director of the Dufferin Board of Trade. “Congratulations to all of our nominees and winners, and sincere thanks to everyone who joined us for such a memorable evening.”

A heartfelt congratulations to Choices Shelter and Support Services on receiving the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year Award. Under the leadership of Executive Director Jaime Edge, they have expanded their impact in addressing homelessness locally through coordinated care, outreach programs, transitional housing initiatives, and community partnerships. Their dedication to supporting vulnerable community members and creating long-term housing solutions makes this recognition truly well-deserved.
