Scholarships & Bursaries
The W. & M. Edelbrock Bursary Program
Each year, three more graduating high school students in Dufferin County receive meaningful financial support to attend college, university or trade school thanks to the W. & M. Edelbrock Fund, a donor-advised fund at Dufferin Community Foundation.
Bursaries of $3,125 will be awarded in June to one student at each of the following schools:
- Westside Secondary School,
- Orangeville District Secondary School, and
- Centre Dufferin District Secondary School
The criteria for this award is the following:
- Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need
- Academic success or initiative/aptitude in their chosen area of study
- Demonstrated involvement within the school community
- Attending a college, university, trade school or a career-track program at an accredited Canadian institution
Students can use the bursary for tuition, books, accommodation, food plans and other expenses directly related to their first year of studies. They must submit an application form, which will then be reviewed by a selection committee at their school.
