Are You Eligible?
Our grants program is 100% local, which means that in order to qualify for a grant, you must serve residents in all or part of Dufferin County.
In addition, we are only able to fund organizations recognized by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a registered charity or a qualified donee. We cannot give grants to individuals or businesses.
Before submitting an application, it’s a good idea to verify that your organization qualifies to receive a grant from Dufferin Community Foundation and meets the eligibility criteria.
We aren’t a registered charity. What now?
Non-profit organizations can partner with a registered charity or qualified donee on the project requiring a grant. Here’s how it works:
- The charity submits the application, naming the non-profit as its program partner.
- The charity completes and signs a Partner Organization Agreement form and emails it to info@dufferincommunityfoundation.ca before the application deadline.
- If the application is successful, the charity receives the grant monies and provides funding to the non-profit partner for the project.
- The charity is responsible for financial oversight of the project and submits a final report when the project has been completed.
If you would like to discuss your project before completing an application, please contact Executive Director Michele Fisher at michele@dufferinfoundation.ca or 519-938-0780.
