The Dufferin Community Foundation is joining the RBC Future Launch Community Challenge (with grants of up to $15,000.) These grants will support youth-led projects that answer this one central question:
What is your boldest idea to respond to an urgent local need?
From food security, to the environment, to reconciliation, young people know what their communities need to thrive. Young people are the future talent and leaders of our communities and our country. We’re investing in that future.
“Youth are facing pressures on many fronts, and so are our communities. The Dufferin Community Foundation wants to be part of creative solutions that enhance equity, sustainability and fairness that help lay the groundwork for a brighter future ” says Gord Gallaugher, Chair of the DCF Board. “We encourage all registered charities, municipal governments, indigenous groups and other eligible organizations to partner with young leaders in your community to support them on their pathway to experience, learning, and leadership.”
Jaxzon Allen and Laura Wagstaff, both high school students from Shelburne agree this is an “exciting and inspiring opportunity…and a great leap towards investing in the future…of our youth, community, and country.
