Congratulations to our Fall Grants recipients
After a thorough grants review process, we are pleased to announce the five recipients that were awarded our first-ever Arts & Culture Fund and Environment Fund grants. For descriptions of the projects, please see our blog post in News & Events.
Arts & Culture Fund Grants
Dufferin Community Foundation’s Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund was created to advance the public’s appreciation and awareness of the arts, community heritage and cultural traditions. This year, the focus was on projects that promoted diversity, equity and inclusion through the arts in Dufferin County. Thank you to Enbridge Gas for donating the funds for these grants.
The following recipients were each awarded a grant of $2,500.
Active Lives Canada – Special Puppets
Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County – Singing for Health
Community Living Dufferin – Creative Partners On Stage
Trinity United Church Shelburne – Spirit Touches Art Touches Spirit (stARTs)
Environment Fund Grant
Our Environment Fund supports organizations that are taking innovative approaches to community-based environmental management, including technological advances, environmental education, and stewardship of land and natural resources. The following collaboration received a $3,000 Environment Fund grant in 2023.

Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund Grants
Dufferin Community Foundation’s Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund provides grants to organizations that advance the public’s appreciation and awareness of the arts, community heritage and cultural traditions taking place within Dufferin County. The grants may be used for initiatives like programs, projects, public performances, forums and/or events.
Grants Available:
We are offering 4 grants of $2,500
Deadline for Applications:
Monday, October 16, 2023 at 5:00pm ET
For the 2023 granting cycle, the Grants Committee’s focus is on initiatives or collaborations that foster a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in Dufferin County through arts and culture. The project must be completed by June 30, 2024.
We are grateful for the generosity of Enbridge Gas and its Fuelling Futures program, which has made this grants stream possible this year.
Environment Fund Grant
Dufferin Community Foundation’s Environment Fund grant is aimed at organizations that are taking innovative approaches to community-based environmental management, including technological advances, environmental education, and stewardship of land and natural resources. The grants may be used for initiatives like programs, projects and research in Dufferin County. The project must be completed by June 30, 2024.

We are offering 1 grant of $3,000
Deadline for Applications:
Monday, October 16, 2023 at 5:00pm ET
We are grateful to the generosity of donors to our Environment Fund for making this grant possible. As a “forever fund” (an endowed fund), this is the first year for this grant… but it will certainly not be the last. Environment Fund grants will continue to grow in number and size as the fund builds each year.
