After six years of leading Dufferin Community Foundation as Board Chair, Gord Gallaugher stepped down at our Annual General Meeting in June. He has handed over the gavel to Debbi Goss, who was our first managing director before she joined the Board last year.
At a small reception after the annual meeting, Gord was presented with a small token of our enormous gratitude for his contributions. It is largely due to Gord’s vision and perseverance that the foundation was created in 2018. He shepherded the organization through its founding years, building strong relationships with donors, volunteers and the community. He ends his tenure as chair after an exceptional year of growth with $2.5 million in invested charitable funds.

Debbi joined Dufferin Community Foundation in 2019 as a consultant to lead our operations. She retired in September 2021 but we were able to coax her back to sit on our board. Since then, she has chaired the Community Outreach Committee and the new Governance Committee. Debbi believes passionately in the mission of the foundation and is focused on building the infrastructure for our continued growth.
Gord remains an active member of the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee.
Thank you to both Debbi and Gord. We are stronger and more vibrant as a result of their leadership.
