“From There to Here,” an exhibition of the wonderful Rosemary Molesworth’s lifetime journey with clay, is running at the Museum of Dufferin from October 1, 2022 to January 21, 2023.
A well-known local artist who inspired many of us with her beautiful and whimsical works, Rosemary sadly passed away from cancer earlier this year. Part of the proceeds from sales of her art will go to a special fund in her honour with Dufferin Community Foundation. Over the next 25 years, the Rosemary Molesworth Memorial Art Fund will support the acquisition of 3-D artwork by local artists for public display across Dufferin County.
Rosemary began working on the exhibition before she passed. The work on show includes clocks, cups, bowls, vases, lidded containers, plates, tiles and masks from her 40 years of forming and firing clay, which she felt was “magic.”
